Abstract
Fashion designer Nadezhda Petrovna Lamanova was a prominent master of costume, both theorist and practical worker, the founder of several well known fashion houses and tailoring shops. Her career started in tsarist Russia, and finished in prewar Moscow. 1920 s were one of the most significant periods of her creative activities. This was the time when Lamanova was elaborating both mass costume and art costume. She was the first in Home fashion design to combine fashion line and folk line in female image.
