Abstract
The article considers the process of socialization of States in international relations, which is insufficiently studied theoretically and empirically, but has a high scientific and practical significance. The article examines the process of socialization of Russia in the " Group of eight”1 from the point of view of changing the country's identity, status and role in the international arena.
