Abstract
The article analyzes the experience of municipal management of social and labor relations, in particular, the need for sociological research, including the study of labor satisfaction of the working population. The article presents the results of a study conducted in Belgorod in 2008, which showed a relatively high level of satisfaction with internal factors - the content of work and relationships in the team, and a lower level of satisfaction caused by external factors - salary, social package and working conditions.
