Abstract
The article analyzes the protest potential of Russian society, using the example of one of the opposition groups represented in social networks, the image of the new virtual opposition – gender and age characteristics, political preferences and value orientations. An attempt is made to examine the existing connections and interpenetration of protest moods in the virtual and real communities.
