Abstract

The author made an analysis of a category "Responsible Global Power", which is new with regard to the People's Republic of China. The article traces the origin and base for China's self-identification as a responsible global power. The evaluation of Western impact on this process has been attached. Some specific features of Chinese approach to a status of "responsible global power" and major spheres for practical realization of this concept at present stage have been described.
