- Abstract
- As a result of rapid motorization Beijing and other Chinese megacities have been placed in the global register of cities with the most prolonged traffic congestion and its slowest average speed. Recently the central government of PRC, the capital city council and municipal authorities of large cities decisively and actively embarked on the transport issues, including not only restrictive measures for motorists, but radical improvement of urban public transportation based on modern technology.
