- Abstract
- The article describes the history of the Russian diaspora in Japan (1858 - till now). The most significant place in Japan for Russians was Hokkaido due to its geographical position. The other old Russian communities were situated in Nagasaki, Kobe, Tokyo and Yokohama. The article characterizes main business and public activities of the Russians in Japan.
