Abstract

The work is devoted to Mexico's attempts to find new approaches to rapprochementwith Latin American countries after the Mexican policy was focused only onthe United States for more than two decades in view of the North American Free TradeAgreement (NAFTA) implementation. Key trading partners of Mexico among LatinAmerican countries, free trade agreements (FTAs), as well as the most important jointinitiatives are considered. The author gives several variants of the scenario in case ofimposing frankly unfavorable conditions for Mexico within the framework of the ongoingrevision of NAFTA
