Abstract

The article reviews the main trends in Quebec politics in the 2010s (till the beginning of COVID-19 Pandemic). It shows the impact of the Maple Spring-2012 on the provincial parties’ politics, considers the factors that influenced the political preferences of the Quebec electorate in the provincial elections of 2012, 2014 and 2018.years Special attention is given to reasons of the decline of the sovereignist project’s popularity and the desire of Quebecers to find a third way between the federalist approaches of the provincial liberals and the separatism of the Parti québecois.
