Abstract

In the U.S. foreign policy strategy, the Central Asian region has no first priority. At the same time the motives of American participation in the region are determined by the overall strategic objectives of the United States in Eurasia. Under the Trump administration, U.S. policy in Eurasia is determined by the pragmatic tasks of strengthening regional security, including conducting military operations in Iran and Afghanistan, deterring Russia and China as well as supporting and advancing the Washington sponsored economic and energy projects in the states of Central Asia.
