Abstract

The article analyzes the approaches of the Republican (D. Trump) US administrations to building trade and economic relations with the member states of the European Union at the present stage. The problems connected with the US protection policy in the sphere of foreign trade, the unleashing of trade wars by D. Trump, incl. with the leading political, military and trade-economic allies of the United States, possible ways of resolving trade conflicts through negotiations between the leadership of the United States and the European Union are projected. Attention is being paid to the disclosure of the interconnectedness of the emerging progress in relation to D. Trump's approaches to the methods of implementing US foreign economic policy with the forthcoming elections to the legislative bodies of the United States.
