Abstract
The article defines a range of specific features of modern Czech society that were formed as a result of two decades of transformation and post-transformation. One of the main results is considered-the formation of two poles of the socio-cultural structure-those who have a high and low assessment oftheir standard of living, or otherwise – people who have adapted and not adapted to changes.
