Abstract
The Trans-Baikal Territory, due to its geopolitical position, is an active participant in migration processes, being both a receiving center and a transit region for migrants. Among the reasons for immigration to the territory of the Trans-Baikal Territory are, first of all, economic, business and humanitarian, private, tourism, and study. Labor migration in the Trans-Baikal Territory is the most dynamic migration flow. Objectively, it is necessary to replenish the labor resources of the region by attracting foreign labor, primarily qualified. Immigration processes have both positive and negative sides. The problem of illegal external migration is touched upon.
