- Abstract
- The success of Chinese economic reform and real increase in the standard of living of the PRC population forces its leaders to pay more attention to a place and a role of the country in global policy, search for new possibilities to improve the image of the Peoples Republic of China abroad. By means of so-called "soft power" China tries to reach perceived and specific goals. However, these steps encounter certain obstacles, which China still is to bypass.
