- Abstract
- The article deals with forming-up and developing of the views of Yin Haiguan, who had a significant influence on the formation of ideology of the democratic movement in Taiwan in 1950-1960s. It describes the evolution of scientific and political views of the thinker from his commitment to the ideals of the “May 4th Movement” to rethinking them and finding the ways for using the moral teachings of ancient China in modern democratic society.
