- Abstract
The article deals with the interaction of the ideas of Arab nationalism and Islam in 50th — 60th years of the twentieth century, when Islamist ideas had not yet received a full organizational form and were in a deep crisis. At this time, parties and movements of a religious nature were oppressed or banned. At the legislative level, the norms relating to Islam and the Sharia as a whole were reduced to the maximum, with a parallel increase in the norms relating to socialist rhetoric.
