The aim of the article is to determine what influence Russian dancers and representatives of the Russian choreographic school have had on the formation of classical ballet in Brazil. In this article on the basis of various narrative sources with the involvement of research by Soviet, Russian and Brazilian authors were identified and commented on the stages of formation of the Brazilian ballet theater, related to the activities of stars of Russian ballet: artists, teachers, choreographers.

Diaghilev in Brazil and up to the end of 1960s - when the system of choreographic schools was formed, at the origins of which were Russian dancers.
